Things with Wings

Hello Crafty Friends,

The theme for this time at Make My Monday Challenge Blog is "Things with Wings" and I decided to make a card with butterfly. This is a Mixed Media card but pretty simple and one layered.

I took a cardstock and did some stenciling with grainy texture paste and then adhered it in two pieces on a black card base. I colored it with spray paints and finally added a chipboard Butterfly colored with metallic paint.
I applied finnabair wax aged silver on the card for some extra shine and also added a few beads and sequins to it.

Hope you like my card.

Layout : Together

Hi Friends,
Today I am sharing my new Layout.
This is for my Lil bro in remembrance with the lovely childhood spent together.
Time is running very fast and we get to stay far apart for studies, work and marriage... but the bonding between siblings remain unfaded.

This is 12"*12" in size. First I chose the base paper which is greyish yet vibrant with stars and glitter effects on it. On that I adhered a pink textured pattern paper, which I torn from the top and bottom, edges were distressed. Then I created some texture using the brick stencil and texture paste. Actually I previously wanted to do heat embossing on it with another stencil which I did also. But the embossed pattern got a bit messy so I decided to cover it up. The texture is lightly colored with distress ink. Then I created the photo mat by tearing some pattern papers and distressed the edges as well.
For embellishments, I hand-cut the flowers from Papericious paper pack, distressed the laces, Distressed the doily. I used the alphabet stamp set from mudra to stamp the word together and the & is also stamped and hand-cut.
Finally I added some die cuts and butterflies to complete it.

Supplies Used:

Papericious Perfect Affair Paper pack ( For BG and Flowers, Photomat)
Eno greetings Paper pack  (Pink foreground and photo mat)
Texture paste
Tim Holtz Brick stencil
Ranger Distress Inks
Mudra Stamp set
Bo Bunny Stamp set
Chipboard / Chippies from Papericious
ChipBoard
Doily
Butterfly Stickers
Ranger Heat Tool
Glue
Tacky Tape
Foam Tape

I would play along the following Challenges:

(My Inspiration is Love and togetherness of sibling with our beloved pet)

Card- Hello

Hello Friends...
Happy New Year to all.
I'm back with a CAS card and my first post of the year.
Though I plan to make a lot more stuffs this year, it started on a busy note. I still managed to get some time finally to sit down and start working on some of the projects which were lingering in my mind.
So what I made this time...
A simple white CAS Card.
Here it is...

This is a 5*5.5 cm card. I adhered another 5*4.5 cm card-stock on that. The butterfly is stamped and heat embossed and then I hand-cut it and to give it a bit of height I glued it with foam tape. The sentiment "Hello" is stamped with black distress ink.
I glued some rhinestones to complete the look.

Here are some more pics...

Art Journal #18

Hello Friends,

This month my son will celebrate his birthday.
As I was making his spider man photo booth and other small essentials he demanded, I thought of making a journal page for him.
Though he likes to interfere in all my art works as he loves coloring so much, this time he calmly enjoyed as what Mommy is making for him. He advised me here n there also.

So, let's take a look

First I applied gesso on the page and let it completely dry. Then some random stamping here n there. Then I painted the entire surface with acrylic paint. I mixed water to get a lighter shade and then cut some paper to make an uneven banner. I stamped the letters individually and then cut and glued on the banner.
Next i stamped the small hearts and Butterflies, colored and hand cut them, then glued on the page.
The emotions are also stamped and glued to finish up the look.

If my works inspire u leave some love in comments below.

Every child is SPECIAL to their parents. I made this page for my son.
These strips and banners and the flower are from an OLD magazine, I used my NEW butterfly stamps, and painted the entire page BLUE.

Butterfly Cards

Hi Friends...
Today I'm here to share two cards which I made using the same stamp sets.
Right now I'm trying my hands on different techniques of card making and the first one here is a kind of experiment. But I'm happy with the outcome though I wasn't quite sure when I started making it.

Here is it...

Now to the technique...
I first stamped the butterfly stamp using Versamark clear stamp and then started the coloring once it was dried. No embossing at all. Just the coloring and yes all the butterflies were clearly visible. I forgot to take a picture of the process while making this one. Sharing another stamped card with the same technique.
Here is the card right after stamping...

So, as you can see the butterflies here...
I started coloring on it and then after I colored the entire card I used fabrecastle watercolor sketch pens for the shading of the butterflies. Then I sprayed some shimmer on the card using a paint brush. Hope it is visible in the photo. After adding the stamped sentiment from Pennyblack I added a few sequins to complete the look.

Now coming on to my next card.
Here also I tried to create a background with the stamps.
I used Beautiful butterfly and leafy stamp from Mudra again with distress ink. Water-colored the butterflies and then added a hand cut stamped butterfly on the sentiment.
Here is the card...

I love the bright colors of the cards.

Two Cards

Hello Folks,

Today I'm sharing two cards.
I'm very very interested in using stamps and watercolors in card making.
But I am not that comfortable in coloring stamps.
Here, I tried to create something nice and clean. I used stamps and tried water coloring for the first time in cards.

The first one with my newly own leafy stamp set from Mudra.
I used Ranger Distress inks and a sentiment stamp from Penny Black.
It is simple 4"*4" card.
Take a look.

The next card is also a simple 6"*4.5" card. I have used Beautiful butterfly stamp set from Mudra here for both the butterflies and sentiment.
I have used distress ink to color both the cards. Here I added some stones here and there to complete the look.

I'm really loving this butterfly stamp set and making a few more cards in the same line.
If u like my work, do follow my blog and leave some love in comments.

Hugs,

Scrapbook Layout "Back To Childhood"

Hello Again...
Today I have come up with my first ever scrapbook layout which is also my DT project for this month at Indian Quilling Challenge. This month's theme is "Childhood"

This Layout can also be used as a wall frame to showcase this sweetest phase by adding ur cute baby pictures and reliving those moments again.

Childhood is the most cherished part of our lives and as I wish to relive those moments, Here I used some beautiful patterned papers to match with the theme, few quilled flowers n leaves, butterfly stickers, banners, fairy wand and some stars coming out of it, stones and tags.
Take a look...

This is a 12"*12" layout. The patterned paper used here are by Enogreetings. The white and cream quilled flowers are made out of  3mm strips. The butterfly stickers are 3d stickers. The Fairy wand is a charm and I hand cut the starts from a sheet. The tags "memories' and "stories" are also from a patterned paper cutting. Gave outline shading to these with Distress Ink. Banner is also hand cut and attached to a string.
