Scrapbook Layout "Back To Childhood"

Hello Again...
Today I have come up with my first ever scrapbook layout which is also my DT project for this month at Indian Quilling Challenge. This month's theme is "Childhood"

This Layout can also be used as a wall frame to showcase this sweetest phase by adding ur cute baby pictures and reliving those moments again.

Childhood is the most cherished part of our lives and as I wish to relive those moments, Here I used some beautiful patterned papers to match with the theme, few quilled flowers n leaves, butterfly stickers, banners, fairy wand and some stars coming out of it, stones and tags.
Take a look...

This is a 12"*12" layout. The patterned paper used here are by Enogreetings. The white and cream quilled flowers are made out of  3mm strips. The butterfly stickers are 3d stickers. The Fairy wand is a charm and I hand cut the starts from a sheet. The tags "memories' and "stories" are also from a patterned paper cutting. Gave outline shading to these with Distress Ink. Banner is also hand cut and attached to a string.

Summer Canvas

Hello All...
Days are getting hotter and @IQCG we are welcoming the month of May with lots of summer colors, textures and Quilling
The theme of the month at Indian Quilling Challange Blog is "Hello to Summer..."

Here's my DT post...

I painted a canvas of 6"*6" first. Used tissue papers to give the effect of sand.
I wanted to quill the whole sea but later only stuck to the outlines.
pasted some sea shells here n there to give it a beach effect.
Made it in a hurry so could not elaborate it the way I thought initially.
But I liked the sand effect.

Thank you for dropping by...

Altered Box

Hello Friends...
Today I'm sharing an altered sweet box which is a cardboard box using some quilling flowers and pattern papers.

I have made this as a DT inspiration for Indian Quilling Challenge # 24 Recycle or Upcycle Projects with Quilling in it.

So, here's an angled snap of the picture where u can see the inside a bit also.

Used the same patterned paper for the inside and all sides of the box.

Here is a small Tutorial for this Box...
Materials:
A Cardboard Box
Some patterned Papers
Acrylic Paint
Double sided Foam Tape
Lace
3 mm Quilling Strips for Flowers
Tags
Doily
Mod podge
Brad
Pearls

As the cover is very beautiful, at first I wanted to keep the cover design intact, but I have two more boxes with the same design...so I altered it.

I colored this box with black acrylic paint from all sides. kept it for drying for a day.

Then I measured and cut pattern paper according to all sides and top and inside of the box and covered it.

I used mod podge to stick the paper. Also applied a layer of modpodge after all sticking is done. Then I added a layer of patterned paper on the top cover.I used double sided foam tape to stick this layer as I wanted some height.  Then I cut a doily into half and pasted it as per the design I wanted. I glued some lace on the lower part. Cut out the tag from the same Paper pack.Foam tape is used to stick the tags here also. I used a brad on the strip of paper that I attached on the lace.

And completed the look with two Quilled flowers. Here I used 3mm strips to make the flowers.
Decorated the empty space with some pearls.. And here's the finished project..

Hope you like the project.

Quilling In Pink, IQCG Challenge No.23

Hello friends.
This is my first DT post for Indian Quilling Challenge. I am very excited to work with the talented DT girls here. This  is my first experience and I hope this journey will be pretty exciting.

This month the theme is "Quilling In Pink".

As this is the Valentines month, with this pink theme I've made a card with Pink Hearts.
I have used two shades of 3mm pink color quilling strips. Pink handmade paper is used to make the base of small heart pieces. I have also added white and cream color pearls to add a bling to it. And a tag with "You & Me" written on it completes the card.

Let me show you what I created...
This is the Final Card

Quilling Fairy

I wanted to make a mermaid and ended up making a fairy.
I like this white n blue combination.

I used few shells to decorate it and also used a tag which says"U  n me by the sea".
Picture reference was taken from pinterest. I painted the fairy with acrylic colors  and quilled the wings and its dress.
Making the hair was a tough part as the picture is very small.
I love the backdrop with irregular squares.

I'm entering Indian Quilling Challenge DT call with this project.

National Bird

Finally made an attempt to make a quilled peacock.
Don't really know whether I could make a justice to this beautiful bird image.

I would like to enter Indian Quilling Challenge DT call with this project.

Explosion Box...

Time for another Explosion Box.
These are quite exciting to make.
Every time u can add different layers, emotions, colors to them and they look pretty different from one another.
Here's the first look at the box..

So it's simple from outside.
The tag and flowers add up to the color.
The first layer is 12"*12" inch and the inner layer is 10"*10".

The corners of the first layer are cut in heart shape unlike my previous box where these sides did not exist.

From inside it's a two layered card with 4 pockets.
Two pockets have two 3 layered tags to write ur emotions or pictures.
Rest two pockets are of the same size and also can be filled with tags.

The innermost layer is again a box. It's cover is decorated with a 3d flower. Chocolates r small gifts can be placed inside.

These are the handmade personalized tags for writing emotions or putting pictures.

This is the first layer of the card with colorful tags. All these can be rearranged and used any where as desired.

Thank you !!!

Explosion Box Card

This is my entry for Indian Quilling Challenge 16.
The recipe 1 2 3 here are:
1 Quilled flower at the top cover of the box
                                       2 Quilled Dolls
                                       3 Layered  Box Card

I wanted to make an explosion box for a while now and here comes the box card.
I used a lot of stored materials from my drawer to make this one. Though the theme, color n design was decided instantly, my illness took a little long for recovery and so does the card.

The theme of my box card is friendship which is evergreen and i dedicate this my loving friends.

Two friends with the evergreen Friendship plant

The 3 layers of the card

Here's some more details of the box card.

Valentine Quilling

Every year I make something for my husband for this day.
This year tried my hands with his name.

Colors excite me always. So tried maroon, pink, yellow, green on a white base.
It'll be placed on his desk.

I'm posting it a bit late though.

And the finished one...
