Times to Remember - Layout for More Than Words

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I have a beautiful Layout to share with you all which I created for More Than Words Challenge. This LO is very close to my heart as I made this using the picture of my niece. This month she will be celebrating her first birthday and I am thankful that her mother allowed me to use her picture in my project.

                                              Word Inspiration - HIGHLIGHT
                                         Creative Challenge - SUNSET COLOURS

Image may contain: ocean and water
I used the picture of our cute niece, who came to our world in 2019 and it became the Highlight of Last year for all of us. For Creative part I used a lot of sunset colors and purple, pink and yellow flowers.

We want to hear about the HIGHLIGHT of your day, week, year or life! Has there been a birthday to celebrate, a good day spent with a friend or simply an event that made you happy? Maybe the birth of a child or a wedding is a highlight. Maybe it’s a good book or a cup of coffee. We need to see in your project how our word inspired you. If it isn’t obvious in your work, then please explain it in your post.
Whatever your highlight is, we want to see it shown off with glorious SUNSET COLOURS!

Do not forget to participate in our challenge this month and you could win amazing prizes from our generous sponsors.

Thank you for visiting.

New Beginning - Mixed Media Layout

Hello Crafty Friends...

I have a beautiful Layout to share with you today which I made for Mixed Media Academy Challenge . January is the first month of the year and it marks a new beginning, new hopes, new promises... And the challenge is to take inspiration from the quote and the colour palette and make something inspiring.

For me everyday is a new beginning. If you start your day with positivity and a bright smile, everything looks so goos and inspiring. And the morning sun brings so much energy and power pushing all darkness behind it spreads light and happiness in our lives.

Here is the cheerful and bright moodboard of the month

I took inspiration from the morning sun and the photo in the mood board and I used Yellow, grey and a hint of pink in my project. And as the quote in the mood board says, New Beginning is truly the most powerful as when you begin something new, you give your whole heart to it and do your best to make it happen.

I used Lindy's Spray paints Summer lovin sun- flat fabio and Screamin Banshee black here. Texture paste, Flowers, Stencil, Craft palettes and chipboards from our sponsor this month Little Birdie Crafts
You can check their products here Shop

Hope you like my project and do not forget to participate in the challenge this month. We have some exciting prizes from our sponsor for the winner.

Thank you for visiting,

Rejoice - Mixed Media Layout for More Than Words

Hello Crafty Souls,

Priya here, and I'm back today with a beautiful project inspired by More Than Words  December Main Challenge

For Main Challenge we have two parts - WORD Inspiration - REJOICE and
CREATIVE Inspiration - Anything Goes
You have to use both parts of the challenge in your project to enter. For Word Inspiration either you can actually show the word somewhere in your project or simply describe how you are inspired by the word. And the creative Inspiration should show in your project.
My Inspiration behind the project is the word REJOICE... This was an amazing year for me and I'm thankful for everything that happened to me. Looking forward for more positivity in the days to come. As the CREATIVE challenge is Anything Goes, I played with Papers, colors, Chipboards and fussy cut elements.

Some more close ups of my project.

For the background I used Dear Diary Paper pack from Mintay Papers, Alpine Ice Rose and Cocoa Bean Copper Sprays. I created texture using Tim Holtz Flourish stencil and 2 in 1 gesso and texture paste from Little Birdie. I used wooden embellishments, flowers, chipboards, metal embellishments and a lot of  fussy cutting elements.

Hope you like my project. Do not forget to enter our challenge this month, you could win a lot of exciting prizes from our sponsors...

Winter Love Layout for Mixed Media Academy

Hello Friends...

At Mixed Media Academy Challenge we are hosting the last challenge of the year. We have a beautiful Moodboard and a lot of inspirations from our Design Team. As winter arrived in most part of the world our moodboard is also based on that and I created a Layout

And here is our WINTER LOVE challenge moodboard

Winter is my favorite season and I love snowy mountains, snowfall, that warm feeling of being at home all the time with a hot cup of coffee. We don't have snowfall at this part of the globe and nowadays winters are not that cold also. We don't need to use woolens also here, so no fun at all. I miss my childhood days when we had chilly winters... So I created this Layout in memories of that mischievous child in me who always tried to sneak out in cold outside...

For this Layout I used Heartfelt Creations Christmas Papers for my base. I used a lot of fussy cutting elements from that Paper pack here too. For the coloring part I used Lindy's Magicals Guten Tag Teal and a lot of chipboard pieces. I used cheesecloth and natural elements, craft pallets, glitters from itsy bitsy store. I decorated the page with felt flowers and paper flowers.

Hope you like my project. Do play with us this month to win amazing goodies.

Layout for More Than Words

Hello Crafty Friends,

I have a Layout to share today which is my DT project for More Than Words Challenges

Our Main Challenge is based on a word inspiration and a creative challenge.

Word Inspiration - COSTUME
Creative Challenge - BLACK BACKGROUND

What does the word COSTUME inspire you to create?
You can choose to use the actual word somewhere on your project
or simply be inspired by it. Please explain in your blog post
how it inspired you if it isn't obvious in your work.

We want to see your dark and mysterious side by using
a BLACK BACKGROUND on your project. Whether your costume
is a Halloween outfit, a wedding dress or a work uniform,
the theme is up to you, but your background must be black!
I love COSTUMES with lots of drama like heavy warrior suits or big head gears. On this page I used a photo depicting my favorite kind of costume. BLACK BACKGROUNDS are great to work with. Everything you add to it just pops up!

I used gorgeous prima flowers, Lindy's Magicals and icraft Stencils to create the background.
Added Chipboards and flowers, sequins and coir for more interest.

Hope you like my project. Do not forget to enter our challenge this month to win fabulous prizes.

India - Scrapbook Layout

Hello Friends...

This month at More Than Words we have "Origin" as Word Inspiration and "Country Colors" as Creative Inspiration. I created a Layout based on the moodboard and the challenge

For the Word inspiration Origin, I was inspired by my country of origin, India and I used our National Flag as my focal element on my Layout. I was inspired by the flags in the mood board. For country colors it is very difficult to choose any color for a vibrant and colorful country like India, so I decided to stick to the flag colors Saffron, White and Green. I also used the numbers 1947 as that represents the year India got it's Independence. The words Strength, Peace and Grow symbolises the flag colors.

No photo description available.

Word Inspiration - ORIGINS
Creative Challenge - YOUR COUNTRY COLOURS

What does the word ORIGINS inspire you to create? You can choose to use the actual word somewhere on your project or simply be inspired by it. Please explain in your blog post how it inspired you if it isn't obvious in your work.

For the creative challenge, we want you to wave YOUR COUNTRY COLOURS loud and proud! We ask that you create your project using colours that represent your part of the world. You can choose to use the colours in your country's flag, or the colour of your national flower or animal. You can even be inspired by the colours of a well known attraction or place or even custom that embodies your origins. Make sure to name in your blog post the colours you chose and explain why.

Here are some close ups of my Project...

I'm a proud Indian and I am proud of this Layout. Hope you like my Project too.
