Upcycled Bottle for Artful Days

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I am at Artful Days blog with an altered project.
For this I used AD MDFs, Metal Embellishments and Lace along with the Texture stones.
For coloring this piece I used finnabair Metallic Paints and waxes.
You can find the full details of the project in AD blog.

Then I attached the Heart with wings mdf on the neck of the bottle and some flowers. I added some texture stones and texture sand  here and there.
Then I covered the whole bottle with black gesso again.

Once it is completely dry, I started applying colors. I dry brushed with metallic paint Ancient Coin and Dark Violet.
Then I applied some Vintage Gold and Mystique Turquoise wax all over.

Altered Bottle-Winter

Hello Friends,

Today I'm going to share an altered art project which I made to enter a few Challenges.
I love altering bottles and today I tried a winter theme on this bottle.

After giving one coat of gesso on the bottle, I adhered some torn pieces of old book page here and there and gave another coat of gesso. After it dried completely I brushed it with a coat of crackle paste. Then I dabbed chalk paint with the help of a sponge dauber and left it to dry.

For the embellishment part, I took a piece of corrugated sheet and tore as desired. I used 3d matte gel to adhere it on the bottle after coloring it with chalk paint. I attached a piece of gauge over it.
Then I took two tags of different sizes and gave them a coat of gesso. Then I colored them with chalk paint and tried some texture on it for the snow effect.
Then I fussy cut the images that I wanted here from Winter Rimes Paper pack from Papericious and attached on them.
Dry-brushed with gesso here and there.
On the neck of the bottle I attached two feathers, also handcut from the same paper pack and encircled a twine to finish up the look.

Some more pictures.

Mixed Media Bottle #2

Hello Crafty Friends,
Today I'm sharing a mixed media project. I wanted to make something with underwater theme and mixed media, so thought of experimenting on a glass bottle.
I am still learning mixed media but I love using all scraps and make something new. Here I coated the bottle with heavy white gesso. Then used a stencil to make some texture on it. Crackle paste is something I really love to use on my projects, here also u can see the effect.I wanted to make something other than just a showpiece or a vase... so attached a small photo frame to it. I thought the frame will look a bit small so glued a tag behind it. The tag is also a scrap. It's a price tag which got a coat of heavy gesso on both sides then crackle paste and then the colors made it look really good. I love the entire tag and frame area on the bottle. I used charms, small flowers, gauge cloth and most importantly sea shells to give a sea feeling to my project.

Added few beads to give it some more textured and sparkling look.

So, Let's take a look...

I hope you like the project.
